Kids Corner

Class of 2017

Here is your forum.

Ok, this is the page we decided we would add in a previous class meeting. On this page you can communicate politely and positively with your class mates. It would be a wonderful place to let us know any interesting hobbies you do and achievements that you have earned. Ask you friends some interesting questions? Help them understand what’s going on. Pay someone a compliment and give them some great feedback. I found some great tips by some third grade children in California, hear what they have to say.

    Hi Ellen,
You may not remember me, but it’s Sarah from Grange Primary. We’re all in year 7 now and soon graduating. Thomas, Phoebe and I were talking when Thomas suddenly brought up how you promised that you’d come to our graduation. We all hope you do, but even if you don’t we will still acknowledge your time with us. You were one of our favourite teachers and we wish you all the best.
    Yours sincerely,
    Sarah B.

      Howdy Jovan,
That was pretty nasty having my nose bleed so much but it stopped a little while after you got home. Glad to hear you are working hard for the reliever. I do love being at school but I have been teaching for a very long time so it will be time for me to do something else soon. Do you think I give you hard work? Well if I didn’t think you could work hard I guess I would change things! Nice to hear from you. Regards Ellen

That sounds like fun I bet you can play some marvellous tunes already. If your brothers also play an instrument you guys can start your own band! What fun. How will you occupy yourself in the holidays? will you have chores to do or will you have lots of free time? I have a lot of gardening to do and cleaning. I also have to work out what to get you to do next term when I leave you all alone…. well not quite by yourself. That wouldn’t be very safe would it!

HI Ellen on Tuesday I wanted to pull my tooth out because it was bothering me to eat and talk.
On place value I had good plans to win. My best one was to put the nine in the thousand spot, the three two one in the ones spot and the other numbers in the hundred spot.

I think your maths strategy seems to make a lot of sense, that’s some clever maths thinking. How do you feel about challenging your facts to 20? I’m sure you’ll be just as fast as your facts to 10. Good evening Sabitri,
Yes I did find your handwriting practice on my table. I was wondering what that was, then I read your note. Goodness you have been putting in a lot of effort. Now to get a pen trial you will have to show me that style in all your work. So focus on keeping all letters same size, slope them, put kicks on all the necessary letters and make sure all writing is on the line. The more you do all those things the neater your work will be. Try writing this sentence
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. It has all the letters of the alphabet for you to have a go at.
Of course we will do more art perhaps not the same but different things. Finding time to do everything can be tricky. See you at school tomorrow.

By the way, as you were reading you may have scrolled into last years class’ posts and thought we were trapped, but unfortunately it was not us, it was 2016’s.
